INLINE HOCKEY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CERTAINLY TOO HOT FOR ICE!

Preparations are nearing completion for the start of the third annual Inline Hockey Australia National Championships being held at the Speed Dome - Midvale, Perth, Western Australia.

The scene is set for one of the biggest championships ever with 43 state representative teams competing across 10 divisions consisting of male and female players with age divisions from 11's & Under up to Veterans who are 39 years & over. The Championships commence Saturday 26 September 09 and continue up to and including Grand Final day on Saturday 3 October 09.

Throughout the 8 days of competition, games commence at 7.00am each morning with play finishing around 11pm each night, except on Grand Final day where the last game commences at 4 pm.

The host state - Western Australia has been waiting for a long time to have the privilege of home advantage and they have certainly showed that they will be a force this year with teams competing in 9 out the 10 divisions.

As is the case each year, Victoria is sending very strong teams in each division so as to maintain their national dominance. Not to be discounted is Queensland, always competitive, and again has strong representation across the divisions. South Australia and Tasmania will be very competitive with both seeing themselves as favourites in certain divisions. The sixth and final state being represented is New South Wales. Although only sending 3 teams, they have shown in the past they can be competitive and playing for a gold medal on Grand Final day.

No matter what the outcome, no matter which state wins, the only certainty is that the 8 days of competition will show case the best of Australian Inline Hockey players.

If you want to see a game of skills, speed and non stop action, make sure you are at the Speed Dome to witness what is shaping up to be the best National Championships ever.
